Description

This Fieldguide brings together and documents experiments, prototypes, observations, questions, and essays from the Machine Wilderness artist residency program at ARTIS Royal Zoo in Amsterdam in 2022, focusing on developing new relations between art, nature and technology.

Participating artists Maria Driessens, Erwin Verstappen, Spela Petric, Ian Ingram, Antti Tenetz, Heather Barnett, Thomas Thwaites and Ivan Henriques each spent several weeks in the ZOOdio working in relationship to plants, animals, microbes, animal caretakers, botanist, biologist, archivists, visitors and many others in the ARTIS zoo.
